In late January in the mountain ranges of Idaho, I had the opportunity to hunt for a mountain lion.

Being concerned about weather and cold temperatures, I needed some outerwear protection more than I would normally wear for hunting. I looked into Camptown Gear for what I needed to depend on. I wanted a parka and pants that would take care of the unexpected conditions. The quality of the material and construction performed beyond my expectations! The pants especially are pretty well indestructible! Both the parka and pants are waterproof, warm, windproof, breathable and light weight with lots of deep pockets. It was the best investment I have made and will go with me on my next North American hunting trips!

Merry Christmas to you and yours, guys.

Thanx for the killer fleece bibs. Best I have ever! Congrats again on a great product. I’m sure you’ll see it on the show. God bless,

Ted

Mike, Hope you got my leopard photo with me wearing your coat. Besides my PH, the trackers and my gun, your coat was the most important piece of gear I took on the hunt.

I hunted the leopard in the mountains on Mr. Steenkamp’s farm in the Northwest Province of South Africa. I spent four long nights in the mountains before I was able to get a shot on my cat. Your coat kept me more than comfortable when early morning temperatures were in the minus digits (celsius). When I finished the hunt I gave the coat to one of the trackers. You would have thought from his reaction I had given him the greatest gift he had ever received in his life. When I was sitting on top of a Mesa in Texas last year freezing my ass off hunting Whitetail , I thought of your coat and wished I had another. Please send me two coats this time in your new camo pattern. I don’t ever want to be caught in the cold without one again.

Today my clients shot their limit of geese in a snowstorm with gail force winds and I was wearing your jacket, long sleeve shirt and hat, and stayed impressively dry and warm.

Howdy Mike, I don’t want to bore you with this, but I feel I have to tell you anyway. I have been hunting for about 65 years and have shot over 70 deer and many bear.

I’m not that healthy now, having had 2 disc surgeries and later both knees replaced at the same time. I have 20” of steel in my left leg and hill climbing ain’t easy. I slacked off hunting because my wool clothing is heavy. I thought that I might give it up, then I met you at the Big E hunt show in Springfield, Ma. When you showed me fleece that was light, windproof and waterproof, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I can’t believe the weight difference I’m carrying around. I’m more mobile again. I have worn your hunting clothes for 3 years and I’m totally happy, warm and dry, I have shot 3 whitetails and a mule deer in your gear and I love it. Not only is your gear a lot lighter to wear, but it makes the weight of your bags at the airport a lot lighter. I’m going back to Wyoming in the fall (hopefully if the virus is gone by then) and all your gear is going with me.
Thanks again,

Roger Brown

Jay Farris from @maineexperience guide service shared this recent hunt with his son:

“I could not be more proud of Matt! We chased a high 55”+ than we had seen and videoed during scouting for the first three days of the season but he was always a step ahead.
We came upon 21 moose over three days and Matt passed on multiple small bulls as well as 40” with nice palms throughout the first three days of the hunt.
On Thursday morning at 7:35 Matt spotted this drop time moose.
Matt said this scenario feels right to me, he’s the bull, I’m going to take the shot. Matt and I put a 100 yard stock on him & Matt put a well placed 180 yard shot on the bull and double lunged him.”

Another good day of hunting for Jay Farris with Camptown Gear!
“I put 13-year-old Ewan on a turkey this morning and his grandmother took a picture of us, I’m sporting your Camptown fleece shirt.
I have been wearing your Fleese base layers every day of turkey guiding as well as all my scouting.
Just been too hot for the bibs and jacket.
Anything over 30° and I start to sweat but that is a good thing that is that warm 👍🏻”

According to Bucky the puppy: “Camptown Camo is tough as nails!” ...

“The temp was around zero when I got these 3 geese in January 30, 2021!  I was warm as toast with my bib and jacket of along with a set of long Johns and my new shirt!”

I guess I’m a shed collector by nature, however, when I’m not in the woods, I’ve spent over 50 years in and out of flea markets, salvation armys and thrift stores, rescuing these various knives, forks etc. at no more than $5-6 bucks a pop. In the old days, before plastic, bone was the choice for most handles. No two of these are the same, each carrying a history of meals and culture. Back in their day, every meal was a blessed event, a daily Thanksgiving, where they naturally used other parts of the animal for whatever they could. If these tools could only talk…. ...

SOUND ON!

I still get goosebumps whenever I listen to this... thanks @tednugentofficial !
